These three extensions to the existing primary facilities at Colfe's School were designed to expand the School's Pre-Preparatory facilities from a two-form to three-form entry.
A single-storey extension contains the new Nursery classrooms which have been removed from the existing building to allow more space for the expansion of the Pre-Preparatory years - i.e. Reception and Year 1.
A larger two-storey extension houses three Year 2 classrooms as well as a new hall.
A third extension was built to house a new staff room again opening up more space in the existing building which was completely reconfigured internally.
The works enabled the department to expand to 220 pupil spaces, up from the 140 it previously offered. This new figure matches the allocation in the Preparatory department (Years 3 to 6).
The new extensions also housed a new Library, ICT Suite and Music Teaching Room as well new Reception with seating area and support offices and ancillary spaces.
This project was completed in summer 2014 and was the precursor to the New Sixth Form Centre which followed in 2015.
