Ibstock Place

Project: New School

Client: Ibstock Place School

Location: Ibstock, London

The new academic block provided classrooms, laboratories, a library and toilet facilities. The buildings formed a new courtyard with landscaped areas and spaces for socialising.

The walls were built from reconstituted stone with aluminium, double-glazed windows and doors.

The classrooms, laboratories and corridors were designed with large windows looking onto the courtyard. This theme was carried on in the library with glass floors and frameless glazing to increase natural light.

The two-storey library is connected with a spiral stair and has bespoke shelves.
